Life hasn’t been easy for me. At 45 years old, I live with a Grade 2 disability due to leprosy, which has left both my legs severely affected. Before treatment, my life was very difficult. Walking was painful, and I couldn’t move around without help. I felt helpless and often worried about how I would take care of my two sons. I wanted to give them a good future, but I didn’t know how I would manage.
Even with all the pain, I didn’t give up. My biggest motivation was my children. I started using walking aids to move around and continued to work as much as I could. I wanted to teach my sons that no matter how hard life is, we must stay strong and keep going.
Things started to change when SKSS and ALERT reached out to me. They helped me understand my condition better, supported me with care and guidance, and gave me hope. I no longer felt alone in my struggle. Their team showed me that with support, life can improve.
Now, I proudly support my family. I talk to my sons about the importance of education and strength in tough times. My body may be weak, but my spirit is strong. Thanks to SKSS and ALERT, I feel respected, hopeful, and ready to face life with courage.
